2010 was a pretty good year. Sure it came with some upsets. The passing of my beloved
cat ...certain family issues still unresolved. But it also came with great things. High
achievements for my Sam at school ... Finally finding the perfect dog trainer for Pilot girl
...thanks Rhonda we love you...she is the female version of the dog whisperer!! If anyone
can make an 85pd protesting hard header German Shepherd obey she can!!! And also
might I add teach ME how to be an assertive strong leader for my dog. They say dogs come
into your life to teach you things. My girl has been teaching me to respect myself, love myself
stop being a victim and to face confrontation head on!!!
My husband is so far filling his dream of starting his own business even when some days seem
like nothing is going right and the only support you have is your loving wife!
It has also been one year since I moved from Ontario to Vancouver Island. It was a tough transition for me. Leaving close family and friends. Leaving a place that I lived in for 43 years takes alot of courage and faith. The road is getting smoother and I am slowly changing my wardrobe to accomadate this rain forest climate !!
I have made some wonderful friends. Incrediblely kind women who share my interests. I started this
blog last January and have entered the incredible world of blogging and have met so many many
awesome women who warm my heart and soul daily. Some days I feel like throwing in the towel
but then I read a comment and keep on plowing ahead.
My hope for 2011 is that it brings more joy and peace to my family...
Hope that certain family members let go of unjust anger and for once become
loving and unselfish in their actions...just love, be supportive and
most importantly Understanding and not judgemental.
You are as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside...and I could just kiss that sweet little boy face off....although at this age I'm sure he'd protest! lol
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Pamela. I hope the New Year is a good one for you and for you hubby. We had our own business for years and there were high highs and low lows and every one of them was a lesson in life and business. God bless you and your dear family. Hugs- Diana
It sounds like you have had your share of ups and downs {as we all have}, but you are taking it all in stride and thinking positive!
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best in 2011, Pamela!
XO,
Jane
This is an awesome post Pamela. And just so you know in reference to Karen's post I don't see any jowls!
ReplyDeleteI hope your unresolved family issues resolve themselves in 2011. And brave you to move from a place you lived in for so long, that definitely takes courage.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you started your blog. Will continue to visit in the new year. And so glad you discovered my blog too! I always enjoy your comments.
Oh dear lady....I know 2011 will hold positive and encouraging events for you and your family.....sometimes it is so very hard to understand why things happen....but in hindsight.....it usually works out for the best!
ReplyDeleteGentle hugs,
Jo
Hello Pamela,
ReplyDeleteYou have accomplished quite a lot in 2010! I am glad you started your blog and have continued with it. I once had to make a move like you did and know how hard it is to adjust. The only people I knew were my husband and boys. But the move ended up being a good move for me and enabled me to grow in ways I would not have been able to do had I not made the move.
It is my prayer that the New Year brings about the changes you are hoping for.
Happy New Year and God Bless!
~ Tracy
Hi Pamela, love your picture... I too am looking forward to the New Year with all of it's new possibilities! I feel so blessed to have you meet you this year thru blogging... I hope that you and your family have a blessed and wonderful New Year!!!
ReplyDeletehugs~~~ Daphne
Vancouver Island has gained a lovely family! Your words are positive and your outlook on life full of good things for the future in that beautiful place. Getting to know you this year has been a delight - your home and surroundings make me want to live there too! Your handsome Sam seems well settled and forging ahead in his new environment.........your hubby's business will, I'm sure, be a success with you at his side. We cannot change everything to be perfect, only hope that others will also do their part. As they say, we can choose our friends but are stuck with our family! Enjoy each precious day.
ReplyDeleteSo dear Pamela.........thanks for being such a great blog friend. May this New Year be the be the best ever for you.
Hugs, Mary
What a great photo you you and Sam! Beautiful! I hope the New Year brings you everything you hope for. As you know, I too am hoping for a "new" start. When I look back to 2010 of blogging, meeting you was one of the best things! Happy New Year Pamela!
