Hello everyone!
I wanted to share
with all of you
my Italian Grandmother's bedspread.
with her
when she came to
Canada
back in 1950!
I have also put it on my
harvest table at
Christmas time
due to it
being
the colour gold.
This bedspread is more of a decorative piece.
It has a tendency to slide of the bed!
I think it's main purpose
is just
to add a
touch of
elegance to the bed.
...and i think it really does!
Thanks for stopping by
Pamela xo

Hi Pamela, What a treasure you have there. I am fortunate to have 2 crochet bedspreads made by my Grandmothers and one made by my Mom. So precious to have their handywork. I wonder if there is a story behind the beautiful silk bedspread... It's perfect in your beautiful home. Love, Penny
ReplyDeleteNever let it go!!! Grandmothers' treasures should always be guarded and loved......and passed on down. I have a few pieces of my grandmother's china and just looking at them brings back the most wonderful childhood memories. I spent a lot of time with her and loved her so much.
ReplyDeleteHello neighbor I am a BC resident as well. I happened across your blog this morning and joined the following. I am enjoy your 'vintage looking' photos. Stop by some time
