Hello everyone!
This morning I was watching the weather channel
(as I do every morning) and all they kept talking about
and showing photos of were Eastern Canada and Eastern
parts of the States.
Snow, snow and more snow!
I almost forgot what February was like back home.
Then I saw all the footage of snowplows, cars in ditches
and
great photos of dogs having fun in the snow!
Here on the South coast of Vancouver Island it is
absolutely beautiful!
Sorry but it is green , green and more green!
to take some photos
to share with
all of
you and
hopefully help
with the
cabin fever!
If you are wondering why I took a photo of this pavement
it is
because
for me...
to see pavement
in
February is quite shocking to say the least!
I can so remember
walking my dog back home
in
April
having a fit because I
still
could
not
see
the
pavement!
moss
on this persons
landscape..
The moss to me
adds
such an
enchanting look!
at
Maple Bay
of
mine.
I just had to photograph them.
I love them
as
an arrangement.
of
mine that
I
get
to drive
everyday!
All the ducks and geese
swimming
and making lots of noise.
You could just
hear their
happiness
today!
corner
for all my
Eastern
friends!

Thanks for the beautiful 'green' photos to brighten up our winter weary eyes. They are really beautiful. Since the groundhog didn't see his shadow here in the east, we're hoping that spring will be early. Have a great weekend! Pam
ReplyDeletePamela, what a gorgeous place you live in. Do you not get winter weather there and the leaves don't fall off the trees. It is like a tropical island.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you would turn the word verification off of your comments. Google does a real good job of sending spam comments away.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing such lovely photos. I especially like the moss covered rocks and ground.
Thanks for stopping by to see me and leaving such a nice comment.

Beautiful pictures ~ can't wait for green to pop up here ~ sigh ~ ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Pamela and yes, the weather has been so good lately - I love it! (ps - is that Quamichan Lake?)
ReplyDeleteThe new National Geographic Traveler arrived a couple of days ago - great story by author Joyce Maynard on your very area of Vancouver Island - where her artist father spent time painting. Photos are good....yours are better! So lovely there - next trip I'll head out from Victoria, skip Butchart Gardens this time, and visit the Cowichan Valley and coastal area. Also want to see the Pacific Rim National Park.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned before - I love BC and would move there if possible. Then we could meet for tea and go shopping for vintage, lovely thought!!
Enjoy the weekend in that magical place Pamela.
Hey Pamela!
ReplyDeleteI'm writing to you from beautiful Oakville, Ontario! Do you miss us at all here?
Love your blog; hope you'll stop by the Beach Bungalow sometime for a peek!

I am popping over from Savvy Southern -- your place is gorgeous, I love your house. The red kitchen is fabulous and the bath --- I dont EVER take baths (no time for anything other than a 5 min shower) but I think I would never get out of that beautiful bath tub!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love the Cowichan Valley!
ReplyDeleteyour weather reminds me a lot of what we hear about England, from Jon's relatives: the flowers start growing in February. Funny then, that here we have to wait till the end of May, and even then it's a bit iffy for planting.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous photos and beautiful weather. Thanks for the warm weather wishes from the Eastern US, we need them. I was already a follower, but hopped over from Kim's blog.
ReplyDeleteHello Pamela!
ReplyDeleteSorry I have not been by in a while but I have been ill. These are gorgeous photos! I too love the way moss looks. I remember when I was a little girl I would go into the forest with my mother to collect moss and other items for some terrariums she created. I had forgotten all about them until I saw your moss picture.
Thanks for the warm memories!
