Happy Sunday everyone!
Awhile back I had blogged about
my plans for painting a few pieces of furniture.
My island, china cabinet and ladder back chairs
were on the list of a makeover.
Melissa from Pink Satin Sashes
knew of the paint colours I had
planned on using for the different
pieces.
Melissa who has become a
dear friend to me
showed up at my home
on Friday
with all the colours of paint
I planned on using!
She really is a great warm hearted person
I still cannot believe
she did this for me!
Saturday I tackled the island
with the colour
cement gray ...
I couldn't be
happier
with
the
results!!
Before...
I am just loving this piece now.
It screams french to me
with a Swedish touch!
Now it just needs a gorgeous white kitchen
to live it!
Thank you again Melissa...
you have been such a wonderful
friend!
Now for those other pieces...
two ladder back chairs down
4 more to go!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
and
thanks for visiting!

Pamela! WOWOWOWOWOW~ You did a great job and it looks wonderful. It doesn't even look like the same piece. All the details in it just pop out now! Can't wait to see the chairs. AND..how wonderful to have a new friend show up and bring you paint. I'm sure she is as thrilled with her end of the bargain (you being her friend) as you are! Hugs- Diana

ReplyDeleteTo have a friend that knows you so well is a special thing. To be a friend that knows that and is grateful is special too. You're lucky to have each other.

Pamela ~ I LOVE IT! Absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to see the chairs ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think paint can bring out the detail of a piece of furniture not hide it, so you island looks great. As for Melissa I always knew she is a special person and I think you both are so lucky to be living close to each other. Have fun painting and good luck with the chairs, ladderbacks are the worst to paint, but I am sure they will look wonderful when you are done.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Pamela - what a unique piece!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh it looks amazing! What an incredible friend. Do you mind sharing the brand of paint? Every time I visit your blog I feel refreshed. Thanks for a great post.

ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! A nice combination, French and Scandinavian... simple but not too plain.

I am not surprised that you have such fantastic friends because you are a fantastic friend yourself girlie! I can't wait to see your ladder back chairs! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteGreat job Pamela - I love the color but then you know my taste for anything looking French country/Nordic etc. Funny how we suddenly find a style we feel truly at home with even though it comes from places far from our front door!
