Welcome to my red french kitchen everyone!
Even though white kitchens are my ultimate favourite for now
i live with a red kitchen!
The previous owner painted the cabinets red. I really don't mind
the colour since i do like red and they match my china.
My red toile curtain fits in perfectly over the kitchen sink.

annoyed about the 28 boxes of china that i have) at the local
thrift store. Six bucks! It is so lovely and it is
very old bone china!
Pamela, I love your red kitchen. What great buys at the thrift store. I know all about boxes of stuff and not telling the hubby about one more thing being brought home. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletePamela, I adore your red french kitchen. The platter on the kitchen shelf is so gorgeous. I have an addiction to beautiful, old china as well. I love hanging old plates on the wall! I love the touches of white you have around the kitchen and the french romantic picture by the sink is perfect. It is just exactly the kind of warm, welcoming kitchen I would picture you in. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteThe new plate with the peacock? looks so good next to the chickens. Right on! They rock. Love the kitchen, especially with the toile!
ReplyDeleteI just love your red kitchen. It is a good red too. And you accessorize it so well, as if you have had that kitchen forever. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela, you have a lovely kitchen! Don't you just love your mixer? I have an orange one and just used it tonight to make cookies! I too am a hoarder of wine corks, and I don't like the plastic or screw on tops. I'm afraid one of these days the cork will be a thing of the past, so hang on to them! So, how often do you change out your china?
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great colour on your cabinets....I am loving it. My kitchen cabinets are green which I have really enjoyed, but I am so ready to paint them white...just h!

I absolutely adore your kitchen! If it were mine, I wouldn't change a single thing. I love the red cabinets. So bright and cheerful a kitchen to walk into. And your white pitchers (which I'm currently collecting) are beautiful as well.

Hi Pamela, I love your red kitchen and that platter is just gorgeous! I found a sack full of corks in a box that I had bought at an auction, didn't really know what to do with them but I thought they were pretty cool, I guess I could just display them in a old jar!!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Blessings~~~ Daphne
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen rocks!!! I love red and white, it just looks so beautiful together! I know what you mean about your china collection, my husband can't understand why I need so many plates. I just tell him, It's a girl thing!
Beautiful kitchen!!
Have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Melinda
I adore you red kitchen! It is gorgeous and the way you have it dressed is wonderful! The toile curtain is beautiful...perfect with the red!
ReplyDeleteLove love love!
Enjoy!

Love the roosters too!
I love your red kitchen. I had one when we moved in but it was so dark and the kitchen needs better lighting. The walls were brick red, but the cabinets are a yellowish wood and it just looked awful. So I painted the walls blue and we'll be replacing the cabinets in time.
ReplyDeleteYour toile and thrifted finds and chickens look just PERFECT there. Hope you're enjoying our summery weather.
I know you dream of a white kitchen someday but your red cabinets are fabulous! The red toile and transferware are the perfect compliment to your cabinetry. You've collected some great pieces-I love your white pitcher's.
ReplyDeleteTell me, do cookies taste better when they're made with such a pretty mixer?
Oh Pamela ... don't worry about what your husband thinks about the amount of china you own. When David and I were first married, his company transfered us to Virginia. We were one of four families making the move. The movers told David that we had more china and glassware than the other three families combined. Guess what ... we have even more china and crystal than we did then. It's a joke between the two of us. In actuality, David enjoys it just as much as I do. Well maybe not quite as much, but he loves every dinner we have with family and friends when we all sit down to a pretty table. I bet your hubby and Sam do too!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love your red kitchen with the red toile accents!! Magnifique!!!
Love,
Susan and Bentley

I love your red french kitchen. It's funny, I just ordered black and white toile curtains for my kitchen. I toyed with the red but I am not that bold. Now that I see yours I think it looks fantastic and maybe I should not have played it safe.
ReplyDeleteGreat platter too! I love all the china I see in your photos. You have excellent taste.
And thanks for leaving a comment on my blog!
I love that red kitchen. Red is such a wonderful color to give a room cheer and vibrancy and you have managed to do that very well.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jo
I think your red kitchen is just lovely! You have it decorated wonderfully, too. Everybody has a white kitchen, I say stick with your beautiful red!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Anne
Thanks for the tour. I love the red cabinets and that red platter you bought at the thrift shop is a show stopper. It was absolutely meant to live in a red kitchen.
ReplyDeletePamela, I love the red cabinets and your transferware and toile curtains are perfect in this kitchen! Hugs, Sherry
