New shelf in bedroom

My roses having died away but still looking pretty gave me an idea
for my bedroom... The space above the bed was crying out for something. I had a mustard coloured shelf
so i painted it white... and decided to hang it over our
bed...







My pretty bird sign that was my first and only giveaway i have won from
Anne of Bird/Like... (thanks again Anne!)







My only piece of chintz ware that i own... i love this pretty cup and saucer!





I know my cousin Karen of Ow, my angst will appreciate this leather bound book of Jane Eyre..Karen this book is lovely but i need a translator with the old English grammar!! I will stick to the movie!

    The shelf is perfect over your bed. Love the sweet sign you won, and the roses are perfect. It all makes a beautiful composition with your chintz teacup. Love it!

    Ah Jane Eyre...did everyone love Timothy Dalton as Mr Rochester? I was just reading that book again recently. I do indeed love it. I also love your pretty shelf. Did you have to stand back and admire it for a LONG TIME after you put it up? LURV the bird sign too.

    Oh my, your shelf looks very pretty, you have a way with putting things together just so. The pink roses are the perfect compliment. I love the pink pillow with the ruffles on your bed, too.

    Pamela, the shelf and vignette on top looks so lovely! I love old books and roses and birds! My daughter and I just saw the new Jane Eyre movie at the theater last week. We'd been waiting for it to come to a theater near us, but when it was clear that it was not going to we drove a bit to see it!... Donna
