Brass is back!

Hello everyone! It has been so long since i last posted! Time has slipped away ...to where i have no
idea! Anyways it seems that brass is now back again!
So good thing for me since i have some very nice brass pieces kicking around the home.

For my wedding shower i received this very beautiful solid brass lamp. I mean solid
too it is extremely heavy. So now that brass is back i have put it back into my living
room... Remember my post about my brass coffee table? I received so many fantastic comments
about it that i have decided i am leaving it how it is. It's funny how this table is suddenly
popping up in home decorating magazines too!


Thought i would share some photos of my living room again...






This last photo is of a home that is for sale on Salt Spring Island here in Canada...


just take a look at their coffee table!! Well this home is listed for over 2million dollars!!


This really convinced me to keep my own coffee table and leave it the way it is!

    Pam--is that the same freaking coffee table in that house picture as yours?!? They look nearly identical to my untrained eye! I hate brass, but I have to admit, your lamp and table are really nice, and the table really suits your living room. It's very unique...or maybe not, considering that other house!

    Doesn't it make you feel great when your taste is validated in a pricey home like that? Your living room is lovely. I don't think I remember seeing it before. Thanks for sharing. I have brass everywhere in my house. I mean EVERYWHERE. I have slowly started to change it to ORB. I think I'll keep going...most of the brass is dirty and nasty anyway. Have a great week...~Ann

    They say that everything makes a come back, eventually! And to think that I have been spray painting all of my brass stuff for all these years:) Love the woodwork in your living room. That is so funny that the 2 million dollar home has your table! We went to Salt Spring Island for the day when we were in BC 8 years ago. Loved it!

    On MarthaStewart.com I saw that Martha collects brass platters. I think in decorating it all comes around again if you live long enough. That is so cool that your table in also in that other house!

    Well look at you Pamela ~ owning something from the "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!" :) Your house is so pretty ~ it must be a joy to come home to it when you have been away.

    It's amazing what will come back in style if we keep it long enough. Now... if only the 80's hair would come back... I would be one happy girl! ;)

    I saw a coffee table like yours in vancouver at a store, but, it was in a silver metal, possible plated brass...funny.

    I'm happy that brass is back too. I have a large brass tray that my Daddy brought back from a trip to Istanbul and I have used it as a coffee table too. That's the great thing about vintage ~ everything comes back eventually! Hugs for Sam!
