i have always enjoyed going to the fabric store. it's pure eye candy for me. when i found this fabric i had to have it even though i had no idea what i was going to do with it. one day i was looking at my old china hutch wondering what to do with the inside. it was a little on the rough side. debating on whether or not to paint it i remembered this lovely fabric. i tacked it inside and once i put my china i could not believe how beautiful it looked.
I love all your toile, it tells a story. Sams toile reminds me of Robin Hood. Your red dishes are fabulous I can see why you like them, because they look like toile on plates!
ReplyDeleteNow where did you find them girl in Ontario? I have been looking high and low and can't find any toile anywhere..SIGH..not even the plates I've been drooling over like yours....
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you were in love with toile before the rest of us! I just love your chairs! I'd never part with them either. Your china cabinet looks lovely. What a clever idea using the fabric. And an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful week!

I really like toile as well. As soon as I get my desk tidied up I'm going to show it with the toile wallpaper (which you will recognize as it is the same pattern as your red material). I like the colours in the last one - very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela. Thanks for your sweet visit and directing me over here:) I love love love those chairs! I am such a huge toile fan, I would have it in every room if the rest of my family would agree:) Love your vintage toile cutains in your son's room too! Just gorgeous!! Are you sure we were not separated at birth?? You and I are on the same page! Those chairs are just terrific and your red transfer ware is beautiful too! By the way, I get white knuckled on some of the mountain passes too and my husband always teases me about it. Even when I try to appear calm, he knows that I am really hanging on to the arm rest!!
