Curtain Call

Things are always changing around here. Nothing ever stays the same. My husband is used to my compulsive rearranging but my son just thinks his poor mom suffers from ADHD! The front hall closet has old glass french doors. When we first moved in i hung my french lace curtains behind the doors and posted it. You probably remember. Here's a picture in case some of you missed it.

When you enter into the front foyer i have a black bench with a red toile and red check pillow on it. This was the motivation behind changing the lace panels.
I have red toile sheers that needed a better spot in the house. I had them on the big picture window in the kitchen but i wasn't really happy with the look of them there. Now they are hanging in place of the lace panels and they really add some punch!

No matter how hard i try to go all white and serene my toile just seems to sneek back in!

Thanks for visiting me!

  7. Hi Pamela, I love what you did with the curtains! Lookas absolutely fabulous!!!!
And, yes, blue is so soothing, calming. AS I'm not close to the ocean (which I would love to) and incorporate blue just to have the "Beachy" Atmosphere around!
Have a warm and sunny day!':-) Li

  8. I love the toile too. You sound like you are having so much fun making the house yours. Thanks for the comments.

My son would have done the same for his grandpa if he was old enough to draw at the time. Have a great week.

  9. The toile looks great. The way I look at it is if something just keeps creeping back into your decorating scheme, why fight it? It is like denying a part of yourself. Those doors are fabulous. Your cottage IS right out of a fairy tale!
