This antique baptism gown
has been
in my family
for over
50 years.
has
baptised
my
cousins
my older brother
ME
and then my
own son!
to
believe
it has
blessed
so many
babies!
it i had blue satin ribbon sewn into
the dress to make it
more boyish.
I'm
just
wondering
who
the
next "Baby"
will
be
to be blessed
in this
beautiful gown...
We just never know when another blessing may arrive. Until then this gown will be lovingly

ReplyDeletePamela, that is beautiful and looks so new for something that old. Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeletePamela-that is a beautiful, beautiful heirloom to treasure forever. What a wonderful thing to be able to pass down. Who knows...someday your child's child may be wearing it. Diana
ReplyDeleteHow sweet to have it after 50 years. I think my mother-in-law may have my husbands but I definately don't think we have one from my side of the family. Such a great family story. Have a great weekend. I love all the pictures of the house on your side bar. You are doing such a beautiful job making this house your home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious family treasure you have! It is so wonderful that it has landed with someone who loves and treasures it like you do Pamela!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful treasure to have in a family - how blessed you are to be caring for it just now. I know it's in good hands.
ReplyDeleteWow, Pamela, that's beautiful and what a treasure to have!

Pamela that is absolutely beautiful! Love the history. It appears to have been very well taken care of. I love family treasures like that. My grandmother made a christening outfit for my sons and I look forward to seeing my grandchildren wearing it.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
