I have finally completed painting my ladder back chairs!! OMG this was not fun to do!
I applaud all of you out there who do this on a daily basis. Patience is not one of
my strong points and I wanted them painted like yesterday.
It is all coming together nicely in the kitchen. I like the calmness of white.
Especially since my cupboards are red and this kitchen gets no sunlight at all.
and then come back to it to find you have missed an entire side???
Yes this happened quite a lot here...
Here's before the chairs were painted. I like them white so much better!
much!!
said to me the other day ..." I bet you're walking around your home with a paint brush
in your hand looking for something else to paint!"
Yes...Alaina I am ashamed to say after all the complaining of painting these
chairs that is exactly what I am doing!!
I'm joining Jennifer Rizzo at Refresh your room party !
Pamela xo
Those turned out so well. And they look so nice with your table.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the white chairs really look nice. Good decision. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteWell Pamela, once again we match...LOL... My long lost sister.. Have a beautiful Day.

They look GREAT! I love the antlers on the table. and I so enjoy your blog, Pamela!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, you are turning into me. I love the chairs white and I still want to paint my dining room chairs yellow. I will start some time and I do dread it. My have more parts than yours. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteYou can link this to my party tomorrow night!
Wow, they really turned out GREAT! Looks so pretty and bright!
ReplyDeleteThe chairs look great! The reason I said that is because once you start painting furniture you want to keep going. I have found that to be especially true with white paint. AND I have done the paint brush walk every time I paint something in my home, I walk around with the paint brush in my hand, thinking while I have it out what else can I paint. Have fun with your painting and thanks for the mention.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela, your chairs look amazing. I totally understand what you mean about patience and wanting them finished now, I too am very like that. I have been dreaming about giving out big dining table a bit of a makeover with paint (legs and sides) but I'm too chicken to start cos I know it's going to be a huge job. Trying to convince hubby to get involved. Anyway great job and very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteDonna xx
I love it! It looks so fresh and beautiful! Now I want to dump my dining chairs and find some white chairs! Painting is quite a chore when you are in the middle of it, but when you are done...the results are so worth it!!! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteI just had to stop by your blog and follow you because of a funny comment you left about linky parties. I'm new to blogging so it's nice to read comments about things I haven't attempted yet. You have a lovely blog with many inspiring ideas. If you get a chance stop by Brambly and take a peek. Have a wonderful day.

Those turned out great! They do really brighten it up. Chairs are not fun to paint. And I've never painted more than one at once, so I really admire your perseverance.
ReplyDeleteYour chairs look fantastic. I did a double-take when you showed how they looked before and then how they look now - so fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe chairs look fabulous and I like the way they pick of the white on the walls.
ReplyDeleteIt makes the whole room look bright and cheery and I think your whole kitchen would look a whole lot brighter with more white....so when are you doing the table?
Yes! That looks beautiful, those white chairs set off the wood of the table to perfection! I love the look! I have wanting to paint my chairs white, I really think I might after seeing yours. I would leave my old table walnut stained, like it is, I think.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed, your chairs look great!
We lived in Langley for twelve years and there were very few old houses there. Some were very run down, but Ft. Langley has several old houses. Have you been there? It is a very sweet old town that has one street of businesses that are very fun to visit.
Hugs, Cindy

Oh That Is Lovely!..Everything seems to pop!..Love your corner cabinet archway & of course the view out that window!
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela! The chairs look perfect now. Just the right compliment for your table. I know what you mean about a lack of patience. It's not one of my virtues. I will say though, that once you get started painting is addictive. So what's next???
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley
xxoo
Great choice...they look amazing. I'm not patient either and want everything done NOW. I think that's why I like painting; you get such dramatic results instantly. Can't wait to see what you do next.
ReplyDeleteShawNa~
Okay! I am inspired to paint my black kitchen chairs white after this. If you don't have patience and you did it, I think I can too!!!
