Happy Wednesday everyone! Awhile back i had transformed my old hall tree stand. It was a dark wood that i repainted creamy white. I thought i would share photos of it since many of you have not seen it. Here is the after... Before... This is the front foyer in our home...
I love my closet doors. They have that old french feel.. Another old mirror. This one is right by the door. Great for last minute primping last chance to fix yourself before you go out the door...
If it's not Pilot on high guard barking her head off to let me know someone is at the door these pottery chimes work great...
actually i prefer the sound of them to Pilot's bark of death...
So now i am off to party with these ladies... and
Come on over and have some fun!
Pamela xo
That is gorgeous Pamela! I love all the pretty detail...you did a great job transforming it.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela! Oh, how I love your beautiful hall tree! It's just perfect painted white! You did a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Everything looks better painted! I love the transformation!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a total different piece. Love it! And your closet doors are ever so charming!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the way mirrors throw the light around, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have Pilot. My dogs make sure I can leave the house unlocked whenever...
Was Pilot named after the dog in Jane Eyre?
Such a beautiful ornate hall tree stand! Great job painting it white, and I LOVE your closet doors!

Wow, isnt the power of paint amazing. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela...your entry is really charming. My in-laws had a similar hall tree in their house. When we sold the house the hall tree went to an antiques dealer...I just didn't have room for it as my entry is tiny. I was sad to see it go. I sort of wish now after seeing yours that we would have kept it somehow. I really enjoyed this post...~Ann
ReplyDeleteTh white actually brings out the details!
ReplyDeleteI love it white much better! But I love painted pieces better...your hall looks great.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a wonderful day! I love your entry way, it is gorgeous! The closet doors are lovely as is your Hall Tree Stand. I have a nice one with a mirror, but it is an orange-y oak and every time I mention painting it my husband sounds so sad when he tells me to go ahead. I can't do that to him, I dislike it, but oh well. I'm glad to see that you paint your great pieces.
Hugs, Cindy
This hall tree is a beautiful piece of furniture and so practical. I like it painted white. Your entry way is lovely with the changed out closet doors. I always like a mirror by the door for a 'last minute check'. Pamela
ReplyDeletePamela that's such a pretty piece, and it looks beautiful painted white! Martina
ReplyDeleteI love your hall tree stand. It looks wonderful painted white.

Your hall tree looks so pretty painted white. The closet doors are great too. Feels like you're in an apartment in Paris!
ReplyDeleteYou have to love that white paint. I like the window next to the front door, lets in lots of light. Chimes are definately better than dog barking, I have one of those too, barking dog I mean.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

Your hall tree turned out just lovely, Pamela! I can feel that I am weakening with painting my own. It is oak with a marble top and I'm just so afraid I'll hate it painted, but I guess it can't look any worse than that orangey oak look! Yours has so much detail, too, which just really stands out more with the creamy white color.
ReplyDeleteThe hall tree stand is beautiful and I have to say your whole foyer is just gorgeous. It makes me smile ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt was so dark and dreary before, and now it's as pretty as anything... and i love your closet doors too, they're wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCindy
You did a fantastic job on the hall tree! What a great transformation! It looks perfect next to those French doors!
ReplyDeleteI have two barky dogs just like Pilot. God help someone that walks in unannounced!! Love your mirror!

Janie
